About Us

The Organic Pet Mall is owned by Stephen and Jodie Strait of Huntersville, North Carolina.  Jodie had a cat named Cassie when they married and Steve metioned they should get another to keep her company.

It was true love.

Cassie has since passed but we now have a very interesting cast of charachters:

  • Slakk - the Diabetic Cat rescued from a pet store that was shut down due to animal neglect.
  • Copy - the one-eyed ex feral cat who after three years will still only let us pet him when he is eating.
  • Abbey - the most normal cat with a personality switch that goes from loving to....well you know, she is a cat.
  • Spudd - the world's worst kitten named after Jodie's beloved deceased gelding who thinks his name is "Spudd NO SIR!"
  • Sam - the lowly dog who was thrown out the window as a puppy on I-95 and is the bottom rung of the family pets.

And if that is not enough we also own Ace, Jodie's newest show horse.  Steve likes her best because she does not live in the house!

 

Steve and Jodie own Gilead Technology Group, LLC and are building their own brand with multiple eCommerce websites.  In the real world they both work for large Fortune 500 companies in the eCommerce world and use their real world know how to create their own American Dream.  This as well as their other websites is created wholly through their blood sweat and maybe even a few tears.
